SWIMMING.
SYDNEY HIGH SCHOOL.— CHRISTIANSEN THE CHAMPION.
The annual swimming carnival of the Sydney High School was held at the Drummoyne Baths yesterday afternoon in the presence of a large attendance. The racing was good and some close finishes were witnessed. Mr. C. N. Smith (the plunge champion of New South Wales) gave an exhibition of the art. Constables Degotardi, Dowse, Arnold, Connor and Johnson gave an exhibition of life-saving. Mr. C. G. R. Wilson swam 45 yards under water.
The officials were:— Starters, Messrs. W. A. Moore and C. A. Smith; judges, Messrs. F. Smith, H. Pike, O. Wilson, and W. H. Buncombe; referee, Mr. A. T. Hendry; time-keeper, Mr. W. T. Kerr; hon. secretary, Mr. A. J. Sullivan.
