BOYS' PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL.
There was no ceremony connected with the breaking-up of the Boys’ High School, Ultimo, yesterday. The head master of the school, Mr. J. Waterhouse, made an informal report, in in which he said that the progress of the school during the last six months, the period during which he has had charge of the institution, had been marked, and the conduct of the boys was satisfactory. The school had only lately been examined by experts sent to it from the department. A presentation was made to Mr. J. Sharpe, M.A., one of the masters, who has resigned to take charge of the Scots College in Perth, Western Australia. The presentation consisted of a dressing-case and an illuminated address.
