Annual Sports Meetings, 1886-1908

The annual sports meeting of the Sydney High School Amateur Athletics Club, now known as the annual Athletics Carnival, is the School’s most consistently held annual event, surpassing even the annual speech day and prize-giving which appears to have been in abeyance for part of the 1890s. 

This collection of reports, gathered from contemporary daily newspapers, records the early sports meetings in the period before the publication of The Record which was first published in 1909.
