Annual sports meeting, 25 October 1901

I notice that during the week the Sydney High School sports took place on the Sydney Cricket Ground. This was once a well-known fixture with our amateurs, but there is no “open” race nowadays. I suppose I am as conversant with what is going on in the athletic world as most people, but I must candidly confess I did not even know the High School sports were “on” until I read the results in the dailies.

The sixteenth annual sports meeting of the Sydney High School Amateur Athletic Club was held yesterday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. There was a fair attendance.
