Referee, 15 October 1902, p 6:
Yet another sports meeting has taken place in Sydney of which I knew nothing until it was over. This was the 17th annual meeting of the Sydney High School A. A. C., which took place on the Cricket Ground last week. Time was when the boys at this school used to come round with tickets of invitation, and requests for advice, and when there were events on the programme for members of the A. A. A. But from a meeting of considerable importance in the athletic world it is seemingly now purely a school function, at which the presence of “outsiders” is not desired.
